Job Responsibilities

The EHSQ & Sustainability Intern will serve as an integral member of the EHSQ team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in baseline EHS inspections of EDA well pads
  • Ensure on-site ERPs, PPCs, SDS are up to date as part of EHS inspections
  • Perform additional EHS inspections and participate in field safety meetings (PSSR’s and SIMOP’s)
  • Conduct a thorough review and analysis of potential serious injury and fatality incidents to identify any patterns or similarities, and recommend appropriate communications, training, or inspections based on the results
  • Assess the roadway using current directions, identify risks, and review findings with EHS, HFS, and Construction
  • Create and implement an Emergency Response Verbal Drill
  • Update all field offices Emergency Action Plans
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Job Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or have recently completed a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, or a closely related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and safety documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills in academic or professional settings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
