Job Responsibilities

The Sr. DOI Analyst will serve as an integral member of the Land team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Set up division of interest payment decks for new and reformed units using title opinions, title documents, and declarations of pooling
  • Analyze and process all payee changes, suspense requests and returned check requests involving producing units, and interfacing with payees or their legal representative when necessary
  • Verify Seneca-owned interests on any outside-operated division orders
  • Organize, maintain and input supporting company electronic and paper records, including appropriate payment allocations, division orders, division of interest records, into company databases
  • Work with the Land department’s Title Analysts’ to identify and manage curative needs as well as the accounting department to correct any issues with existing division of interest payment decks
  • Review ownership and transactional history for funds to be escheated during yearly unclaimed property audits
  • Identify, implement and manage projects that will add value to the Land department
  • Conduct research relating to property records
  • Interface and communicate effectively with, and provide support to, personnel in various functional areas, internally and externally
  • Compile reports and information regarding land records and data as required
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for department and inter department use
  • Compose routine correspondence with land and lease owners
  • Respond to internal and external revenue/royalty owner inquiry communications
  • Provide assistance to landowners as necessary
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five (5) years relevant professional experience
  • An advanced degree, such as a JD or MBA, would be strongly preferred
  • Oil and gas and/or title abstracting experience are preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills are essential
  • Proficiency with MS Office is required. Candidates should have a strong familiarity with the use of Land Systems software, such as Quorum, which is preferred

Must be able to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision and manage multiple and diverse tasks while maintaining a positive demeanor

 

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
