Job Responsibilities

The District Superintendent, Water Management will serve as an integral member of the team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Operations Oversight
    • Lead and manage the operations of freshwater and produced water transfer lines, ensuring the continuous and efficient flow of water across the assigned territory
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and coordinate the efforts of field operators, contractors, and support personnel to ensure that water transfer systems are operating at peak efficiency
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and environmental regulations, including PADEP water regulations, and company safety standards
    • Oversee safety protocols to minimize risks and promote a culture of safety among staff
  • Maintenance and Performance Optimization
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for water transfer infrastructure, including pipelines, pumps, and storage facilities
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise
  • Logistics Coordination
    • Work closely with internal teams, including production, completions, drilling, and support departments, to align water transfer operations with company needs and schedules
  • Budget Management
    • Participate, track, and support the budget for water transfer operations, identifying opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining high standards of operational quality
  • Training and Development
    • Ensure that all staff are adequately trained in operational procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements
    • Provide ongoing training and development to ensure team proficiency
  • Regulatory Reporting
    • Support necessary reports for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate tracking of water transfer data, including volumes, maintenance activities, and compliance audits
  • Learns, promotes and supports Highland’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures in order to achieve environmental, health and safety excellence and ensuring that staff are taking a proactive leadership role in managing EHSQ for assigned areas of responsibility

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED. Associates degree or higher are preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in water transfer operations, pipeline management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong knowledge of freshwater and produced water systems, with a deep understanding of pipeline infrastructure and fluid management processes
  • Familiarity of state and federal environmental regulations, particularly PADEP water management and oil & gas regulations
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically with water transfer pipelines, is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of SCADA and other water management software systems
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex operational challenges
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage teams, contractors, and operations in the field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

 

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America with a valid driver’s license with no restrictions to operate a company vehicle.
