Job Responsibilities

The Production Intern will serve as an integral member of the Production team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Update databases with wellhead and production tree details
    • Manufacturer
    • PSL Rating
    • PSI Rating
    • Flange Size
  • Assist in coordinating and supervising the pull of capstrings and installation of production tubing
    • Field Operations portion
  • Take part in field tours and audits for field operations
    • D&C, Production, P&A and Construction
  • Use empirical data to help develop a foam assist critical velocity model for wells flowing up 5-1/2 casing
    • Help create BMP for capstring installs and evaluate timing considerations
  • Work on Power BI dashboards to better evaluate LOE at the well level
  • Assist in creating and updating databases for Capstring and Pump manufacture details
  • Collaborate with operations on procedural assistance with the learning management system
  • Partner with technical staff on future gas lift designs for various operating areas
  • Create a process for capturing emissions data
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Job Qualifications

  • Current Junior pursuing a degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or Geology
  • Knowledge of engineering principles
  • Understanding of geologic concepts
  • Basic understanding of oil and gas extraction
  • Proficient with Excel and Word
  • Coding experience in Matlab, Python, PBI is a plus
  • Must be a team player
  • Good communicator
  • Willingness to learn and contribute
  • Travel to off site locations is required

 

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
