Job Responsibilities

The Geoscience Intern will serve as an integral member of the Exploration team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Learn several aspects of the Company’s geological workflow, which may include collaborating with Company geologists and/or geophysicists in operations activities, inventory support, and analytical projects
  • Develop a mutually beneficial project to work on and present at end of internship period
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED and be pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Geochemistry
  • Completed several courses in core areas of geology/geophysics (structure, geology, mineralogy, geophysics, sedimentology/stratigraphy, geomorphology, etc.)
  • Computer programming experience is strongly preferred
  • Basic Microsoft proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point) is required
  • Ability to work well in a large group environment is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is important 

 

 The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
