Job Responsibilities

The Lease & Contracts Supervisor will serve as an integral member of the Land team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Supervise, train, and support a team of lease and contract analysts
  • Oversee the processing and data input of lease and contract documents into QLS, Seneca’s System of Record
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and legal requirements concerning all agreements input into QLS
  • Conduct regular reviews of lease and contract files for accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to effectuate payee changes, or placement of funds in suspense and/or escheatment
  • Resolve lease-related and contract-related issues with fellow land department staff as well as staff from other departments, such as accounting
  • Monitor obligation, expiration, and payment dates while recommending actions to other members of the Land Leadership Team
  • Manage reporting of the company’s acreage position related to gross and net acres, developed and undeveloped acres, and leasehold versus fee mineral acres
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting for land agreement expenses
  • Lead the integration efforts for newly acquired assets via electronic conversion of records across Land databases
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, with an advanced degree, such as an MBA or JD highly desirable
  • Minimum of 10 years of lease and contract analysis experience
  • Certified designation such as a CPLTA would be preferred
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, multi-task, and adapt to change
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities, yet strategic in nature
  • Knowledge of industry best practices
  • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
