    Job Responsibilities

    Seneca Resources is currently seeking to fill an Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Intern position in its EHS department for the summer of 2019. The intern will be assigned to Seneca’s Brookville, PA office location, but will spend a significant amount of time in the field. This internship will provide the opportunity to complete a number of EHSQ-focused projects such as:

    • Updating safety data sheet (SDS) inventories
    • Creating a guidance document for HAZCOM signage requirements and assessing compliance with the document
    • Performing a safety inspection of the Brookville Office that aligns with NFPA 101 and making recommendations for improvement
    • Completing documented inspections of existing production pads
    • Developing a listing of HAZOPs that have been completed and assessing the status of action items

    The intern will have mentors available to them throughout the internship to provide guidance and feedback; and will also comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs.

    Job Qualifications

    • Jr. or Sr. undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in an environmental, health or safety related field
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) is required
    • Ability to work at times in an outdoor environment
    • Ability to work well in team environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

     

    The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America with a valid driver’s license with no restrictions to operate a company vehicle.

     

    This position is not eligible for relocation.
