    Job Responsibilities

    The Analyst, Operations will serve as an integral member of the Asset Management team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: 

    • Provide support to operational group managers and engineers in all stages of development and deliver analysis and presentation of data using knowledge of spreadsheets, databases and other software
    • Build, format, populate, expand, and maintain complex spreadsheets
    • Manipulate data between Excel, Access, and other relational databases and ensure integrity and portability of the data between applications
    • Interface with and support operational groups to insure data integrity
    • Generate high quality reports and presentations
    • Perform trend analysis, create probability distributions, make recommendations and take effective action within range of authority
    • Perform complex calculations and data interpretation to improve efficiency of processes
    • Create queries in database software and generate reports as needed
    • Import, enter and maintain operational data, create operational plots, forecast operational volumes, etc.
    • Maintain and monitor operating expense data and perform trend analyses
    • Create databases, update budgets and strategic plans and perform analyses to explain variances as appropriate
    • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs

    Job Qualifications

    • This position requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline. Candidates with two (2) or more years of relevant experience are preferred.
    • Candidates who have experience in a Business Analyst, Operations Analyst, or Data Management role are highly preferred.
    • Candidates with oil and gas experience are preferred.
    • Proficient use of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) is required. Proficiency in SQL, Qlikview, Spotfire, ARIES or Oracle is a plus.
    • Ability to program in Visual Basic or other Windows type applications is a plus.
    • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
    • Candidates must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to interface with various levels of employees throughout the organization to help solve data issues and data portability between applications is required.
