    Job Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking individuals with Thermal Oilfield Production Well experience to fill two (2) operator positions at our Midway-Sunset location in Fellows, CA.  These positions are responsible for all aspects of the operation and maintenance of assigned areas and must ensure the safety of the facilities and its employees, as well as compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety and Security management policies. This includes complying with Emergency Response procedures in order to respond timely and competently to emergency response related incidents. The Operator will also need to ensure daily communications with supervisor, field Operators and engineering.

     

    The Operator will serve as an integral member of the Seneca Operations team with responsibilities in either Facilities Operations or Production Operations including, but not limited to, the following:

     

    Production Operations

    • Perform pump pressure checks, perform well tests, and general maintenance of wells (e.g. thermal wells)
    • Review well tests for accuracy and consistency, approve or reject tests in well data base
    • Monitor, review POC data for optimal well performance
    • Monitor down or low producing wells, evaluate and recommend for well work
    • Monitor well temperatures for steam candidates
    • Monitor, adjust/change injector chokes
    • Monitor daily production rig activities, monitor and optimize approved daily rig moves
    • Troubleshoot POC equipment and first line maintenance for process optimization

     

    Facilities Operations

    • Operate, monitor and perform general maintenance on equipment and systems of production treating plant, steam plant, CVR systems, and water softening facilities
    • Conduct various checks of area and equipment (e.g. pumps, compressors and vessels) operating parameters including levels, temperatures, flow and pressure to ensure each is within their defined operating range and logs in daily reports
    • Monitor production wells, perform well tests, and general maintenance of wells
    • Troubleshoot process equipment and first line maintenance for process optimization
    • Prepare process equipment for planned and unplanned shutdowns
    • Perform shutdown and startup of process equipment including compressors, pumps, vessels, and columns according to operational requirements

    Job Qualifications

    • High School Diploma/GED and at least three (3) years of Thermal Oilfield Production Well operations. Candidates with experience in production facilities and production rig operations is desired.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Strong commitment to safety and environmental performance is required
    • Successful candidates must be willing to work all shifts, including: weekends, holidays, evenings and 24-hour emergency callouts.  
    • Ability to perform tasks involving bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling or stooping, balancing, and carrying up to 50 lbs

    The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America with a valid driver’s license with no restrictions to operate a company vehicle. Must also clear a pre-employment physical.
