Job Responsibilities

The Drafter, Production will serve as an integral member of the Production team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Create P&ID drawings, parts list, flow line/pad layouts, as built drawing revisions
  • Collaborate with field foreman to produce preconstruction drawings per standard layouts and revise/reprint redline edits from the field
  • Read and edit existing mechanical drawing sets and work onsite to create mechanical drawings as necessary from existing pads/facilities

  • Organize and maintain structured document filing system

  • Maintain active database for historical builds for ease in pulling drawings as needed

  • Coordinate between field supervisors and procurement to maintain accurate parts lists for material ordering and sourcing

  • Work with engineering staff to spec and source necessary parts, fittings, and piping to complete the job

  • The successful candidate must comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs


Job Qualifications

  • The candidate must possess one of the following:

    • High School Diploma/GED and a Drafting Certificate with a minimum of three (3) years of drafting experience (Civil, Electrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Drafting); or
    • Associate’s degree in one of the aforementioned drafting disciplines; or
    • Currently enrolled in the final semester of an Associate’s Degree program for one of the aforementioned drafting disciplines.
  • Basic Microsoft proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD 2D & 3D or comparable drafting software is required.
  • Experience with 3D AutoCAD modeling and layer management is preferred.
  • Experience in process piping (pipeline, well pad and facility) is preferred.
  • Experience with gas processing plants (Dehy, Separators, Compressor stations, etc.) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes: B31.3, B31.8, 49 CFR 192, and 195 is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment with a keen ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines is essential.
  • Ability to work well in a large group environment is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
