The Accountant will serve as an integral member of the Accounting team with responsibilities that may include, but also not limited to, the following:
Preparation of revenue transactions, including flowgrids, journal entries and check inputs.
Processing of royalty and working interest owner checks
Evaluation of revenue results
Preparation of capital and LOE accruals
Evaluation of monthly capital and LOE costs
Preparation of journal entries (monthly and quarterly)
Assist with Management reports and analysis
Assist with LOE and Capital process improvement
Maintain DOI’s and the related maintenance transactions
Manage assets, properties and the property organizational hierarchy
Perform depreciation and depletion calculations
Assist with AFE process (including routes, analysis, reporting and setup)
Prepare quarter and year-end financial statement footnotes and/or supporting documents
Complete general and administrative analysis and budgets
Prepare account reconciliations according to required frequencies and maintain the account reconciliation checklist
Perform Bank Reconciliations
Prepare quarterly income statement analysis
Maintain commitment schedules
Perform various Quorum software tests for QRA, QCFS & QCA related matters
Provide project and reporting assistant to various operational teams
Understand Joint Operating Agreements to assist with evaluation, reporting and compliance
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Maintain process documentation
Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
Other duties and special projects as assigned
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and two (2) or more years accounting experience. Public accounting, Oil and Gas industry and Quorum software experience is preferred. Intermediate to advanced excel experience and experience with Sarbanes- Oxley is preferred. Good interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail is essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.
