Job Responsibilities


The Accountant II will serve as an integral member of the Accounting team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:


  • Prepare account reconciliations according to required frequencies and maintain the account reconciliation checklist
  • Enter monthly, quarterly and annual journal entries into Quorum
  • Assist with general ledger analysis as requested
  • Responsible for the accounts receivable function including recording monthly invoices, cash receipts and cash application
  • Maintain and report on company-wide commitments for SEC reporting
  • Financial Statement review (including 10Q and 10K review)
  • Financial statement footnote preparation
  • Complete general and administrative analysis and budgets
  • Responsible for annual FAS 143 evaluation and calculation
  • Prepare quarterly income statement analysis
  • Perform various Quorum software tests for QCFS & QCA related matters
  • Provide as a backup to Revenue Accounting and Property Accounting functions
  • Participate in Cross functional training and support
  • Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned



Job Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and two (2) or more years accounting experience.  Public accounting, Industry and Quorum Oil and Gas software experience is preferred.  Intermediate to advanced excel experience and experience with Sarbanes- Oxley is preferred. Good interpersonal communication skills and attention to detail is essential. The successful candidate must have the ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.


The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
